Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Eventd, an online marketplace operated by ILLUSIØN, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 91781027, with its registered office at De Twijnder 27, 5506 AL Veldhoven, The Netherlands (“Eventd”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Eventd.

1. What Eventd is

Eventd is a curated marketplace that connects people looking to book a DJ (“Bookers”) with DJs offering their services (“DJs”). Eventd is an intermediary only: a booking is a contract directly between the Booker and the DJ. Eventd is not the performer, is not a party to that contract, and does not guarantee any DJ's performance.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for activity under your account. We use a third-party authentication provider to manage sign-in. You may close your account at any time.

3. Bookings

Bookers can request a DJ directly for an available date, or post an event and receive quotes from DJs. A booking is confirmed when the DJ accepts (and, where payment is required, once payment is completed). You are responsible for providing accurate event details and for your conduct toward the other party.

4. DJs, curation and content

DJs are reviewed before being published; we may approve, decline, unpublish or remove a profile at our discretion to maintain quality and trust. DJs are responsible for the accuracy of their profile, their availability, and delivering the services they agree to. By uploading media or other content, you grant Eventd a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and display it on the platform for the purpose of operating the service.

5. Fees and payments

Eventd charges DJs a commission of 10% on the value of a booking made through the platform. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, and DJ payouts are made to a connected Stripe account. By using the paid features you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms. You are responsible for any taxes due on your own income.

6. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund arrangements are a matter between the Booker and the DJ for the specific booking. If something goes wrong with a booking, contact us at info@eventd.app and we will try to help resolve it. Statutory consumer rights under Dutch and EU law are unaffected by these terms.

7. Reviews

Bookers may review a DJ after a completed, paid booking. Reviews must be honest and lawful. We may remove content that is abusive, misleading, or violates these terms.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use Eventd for any unlawful purpose or to circumvent our fees;
post false, misleading, infringing, or abusive content, or impersonate others;
attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the platform.

9. Liability

As an intermediary, Eventd is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or performance of any Booker or DJ, or for the outcome of any event. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eventd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the commission we received on the booking giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the platform if you breach these terms or to protect Eventd or its users. You may stop using Eventd and delete your profile at any time; certain records may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy and as required by law.
