Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Eventd, operated by ILLUSIØN (KVK 91781027, De Twijnder 27, 5506 AL Veldhoven, The Netherlands), processes your personal data. We are the controller of your data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any privacy question, contact info@eventd.app.

1. Data we collect

Account data — your name and email address, provided via our authentication provider when you sign up.
Profile data (DJs) — the details and media you add to your profile, such as bio, location, rates, genres, links, and photo.
Booking and event data — events you post, booking requests, quotes, messages, and reviews.
Payment data — payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store your card details. We retain booking amounts, payout status, and a payment reference.
Usage and device data — limited technical data needed to operate and secure the platform, and a referral attribution cookie when you arrive via a partner link.

2. Why we use it, and our legal basis

To provide the marketplace and process bookings — performance of a contract.
To vet DJs, prevent abuse, secure the platform, and improve the service — our legitimate interests.
To send transactional emails about your bookings and account — performance of a contract / legitimate interests. You can turn off non-essential notifications in your settings.
To meet legal and accounting obligations — legal obligation.

We share data with service providers that process it on our behalf, under appropriate agreements: our authentication provider (sign-in), database and hosting providers, Stripe (payments and payouts), our email provider (transactional email), and our file-upload provider (profile media). We also share the information necessary to fulfil a booking between the Booker and the DJ involved. We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers

Some of our providers are located outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Some records — such as booking and payment history — are retained after a profile is deleted, where required for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes, and then deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact info@eventd.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies needed to sign you in and keep the platform secure, and a referral-attribution cookie to credit partner links. Essential cookies do not require consent; you can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to notify you and the authorities of any breach as required by law.
